Our client, Patrysberg Group has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join their dynamic team based in Citrusdal. The purpose of this position is to continuously ensure that Patrysberg Citrus Group’s citrus and table grape production follows best practices to deliver high-quality products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Monitoring pests and diseases with the monitoring team *Implementing strategies to improve yield and fruit quality *Preparing accurate crop estimates using field data and analysis *Managing pest control, fertilisation, and irrigation programmes *Maintaining records of chemical stock on the farms *Handling citrus export registrations *Submitting chemical programmes for audits and export compliance *Managing production data, databases, and cost reporting *Supporting harvesting activities and monitoring MRL compliance and fruit quality *Liaising with packhouses, industry forums, and other stakeholders on technical production and export matters *All other tasks related to this role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant Agriculture-related qualification;
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role;
• Proven experience in citrus and table grape production;
• Strong technical knowledge, organisational ability, and leadership skills are essential;
• Valid driver’s license.
