Senior Guide

This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who thrives in exclusive safari environments and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding the highest standards of safety, conservation, and interpretation.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the guiding team, including mentoring, training, and performance oversight
• Conduct professional, engaging, and safe game drives and bush walks
• Ensure compliance with all reserve, safety, and conservation protocols
• Deliver in-depth ecological, wildlife, and cultural interpretation to guests
• Assist with guide scheduling, vehicle allocation, and daily operational planning
• Maintain guiding equipment, vehicles, and sighting records
• Act as a senior ambassador for the reserve, fostering outstanding guest relations

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience guiding in a high-end safari or game reserve environment
• Valid FGASA Level 2 (or higher) qualification
• Valid Trails Guide qualification (highly advantageous)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• First Aid Level 1 certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Exceptional knowledge of flora, fauna, and conservation principles
• Calm, professional approach with a strong focus on guest safety and satisfaction
