The Senior Finance and Accounts Officer - Receivables and Branch Reconciliation is responsible for ensuring that branch revenue and corporate client receivables are accurately recorded, reconciled, followed up and reported. The role supports the Finance Manager by verifying branch sales reports, matching deposits to bank credits, maintaining revenue reconciliation records, monitoring corporate client accounts and facilitating the timely collection of outstanding receivables. Key Responsibilities

1. Receive daily branch sales reports, deposit slips, bank confirmation details and related revenue documentation from branches and cashiers.

2. Review daily branch submissions to ensure that all revenue reports are complete, properly supported and submitted on time.

3. Verify branch sales reports against deposit slips and bank credits to confirm that all reported sales have been deposited in full.

4. Maintain an accurate daily branch revenue reconciliation schedule showing the branch name, sales amount, deposit amount, variance, explanation and follow-up status.

5. Follow up with branch supervisors, cashiers and operations staff on missing reports, late deposits, short deposits, unsupported deposits and unexplained revenue variances.

6. Escalate unresolved revenue differences, suspected irregularities, delayed banking and control weaknesses to the Finance Manager.

7. Ensure that all branch revenue records, sales reports, deposit slips, bank confirmations and reconciliation schedules are properly filed and readily available for review. 

Prepare weekly branch revenue and reconciliation reports for review by the Finance Manager, covering sales reported, deposits confirmed, outstanding items, variances, branches requiring follow-up and recurring revenue-reporting issues.

9. Maintain and update a register of corporate clients with signed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including billing terms, credit terms, contact persons, service start dates and invoicing requirements.

10. Support monthly sales reporting by submitting accurate revenue summaries by branch, corporate client or other required reporting category. 11. Issue corporate client invoices; track payments, outstanding balances and receivables aging; and follow up on overdue accounts in line with the company's credit-control procedures.

12. Reconcile corporate client accounts by matching invoices, payments, credit notes, statements and service records, and escalate disputes or long-outstanding balances to the Finance Manager.

13. Perform any other revenue, receivables, branch-reconciliation, accounting, reporting or administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.

Required Qualifications and Experience

1. A diploma or degree in Accounting.

2. A partial professional qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, CA Zambia or equivalent, will be an added advantage.

3. At least three 3-5 years' experience in accounting, cashiering, revenue reconciliation, receivables, finance operations or a related finance role

. 4. Experience in handling branch sales reports, deposit slips, bank reconciliations, receivables, customer accounts or corporate client billing.

5. Experience in a multi-branch, courier, logistics, transport, retail or cash-handling business will be an added advantage.

6. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
