This property is situated within a private Big 5 nature reserve in the Hoedspruit area. This is a varied, hands-on role that suits a mature, self-sufficient candidate who is equally comfortable behind a desk and in front of guests. The position requires someone who can manage a range of administrative and front-of-house responsibilities with minimal supervision in a remote bush environment.
Core Criteria:
- Previous experience in hospitality reception or front office administration
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
- Proficient in Pastel Accounting, including Point-of-Sale, and MS Office
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Valid driver's licence
- Valid first aid certificate
- Genuine affinity for wildlife, conservation, and delivering exceptional guest service
- Comfortable living and working independently in a remote, bush setting
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate the switchboard and manage all incoming calls and guest enquiries
- Handle shop sales and related administration
- Process booking requests and manage member correspondence
- Oversee inventory and stock control, including orders and purchases
- Manage administrative tasks including invoicing and reporting
- Deputise for the Housekeeping Manager in their absence
