This property is situated within a private Big 5 nature reserve in the Hoedspruit area. This is a varied, hands-on role that suits a mature, self-sufficient candidate who is equally comfortable behind a desk and in front of guests. The position requires someone who can manage a range of administrative and front-of-house responsibilities with minimal supervision in a remote bush environment.

Core Criteria:

  • Previous experience in hospitality reception or front office administration
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in Pastel Accounting, including Point-of-Sale, and MS Office
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Genuine affinity for wildlife, conservation, and delivering exceptional guest service
  • Comfortable living and working independently in a remote, bush setting
Core Responsibilities:
  • Operate the switchboard and manage all incoming calls and guest enquiries
  • Handle shop sales and related administration
  • Process booking requests and manage member correspondence
  • Oversee inventory and stock control, including orders and purchases
  • Manage administrative tasks including invoicing and reporting
  • Deputise for the Housekeeping Manager in their absence
