Job Details

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role suited to a seasoned inbound travel consultant who thrives on variety, can step seamlessly into an active desk, and brings deep destination knowledge across East and Southern Africa. The ideal candidate is self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing client relationships and operational tasks independently in a fully remote environment.

Core Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years' inbound tour consulting experience, preferably with the American market
  • Strong destination knowledge across Southern and East Africa, including logistics, regional experiences, and product specifics
  • Proficiency in Tourplan, SafariPortal, HubSpot, or G Suite/Microsoft systems; comfortable with Excel, reporting, and spreadsheet formulas
  • Ability to interpret complex rate sheets, apply children's discounts and supplier specials, and work with VAT on South African suppliers
  • Solid understanding of Gross Margin, Gross Profit, and mark-up principles
  • Excellent administration skills with a high attention to detail and a questioning, analytical mindset
  • Comfortable working fully remotely — self-motivated, proactive, and able to deliver independently
  • Professional and calm under pressure, with clear communication skills across clients, team members, and supplier partners
  • Collaborative team player with an adaptable, solutions-focused approach
Core Responsibilities:
  • Cover consultant desks during leave periods, picking up active client relationships and managing quotes, requotes, and deal progression through all booking stages
  • Handle concierge functions as needed, including supplier confirmations, invoice submissions, and post-booking client communications such as travel preparation information
  • Support overflow concierge capacity during peak booking periods
  • Assist with lead follow-up and nurturing during quieter periods, with a focus on conversion
  • Participate in system testing and implementation of new technologies and operational processes
  • Collaborate with the broader team on ad hoc projects as capacity allows
On Offer:
  • Fully remote position (hybrid or office-based option available for candidates based in Hoedspruit)
  • Excellent compensation package
  • Personal KPI metrics with opportunity to earn a 13th/14th cheque
  • A collaborative, innovative team environment that actively challenges conventional methods and embraces new technology
