Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of all utility systems, ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Monitor the performance of utility equipment, identify faults, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
- Lead and supervise utility technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and operational reports.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted utility supply.
- Monitor utility consumption and recommend cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure spare parts and maintenance materials are adequately managed and available.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in utility operations or industrial maintenance, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial production environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and equipment reliability practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems, including boilers, generators, air compressors, water treatment plants, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
