Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Project Lead

Job description

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) seeks a Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Project Lead for its Technical Department. This permanent, full-time role reports to the Technical Director and will lead and coordinate FIFA TDS actions, outcomes and evaluation while ensuring quality and stakeholder alignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Develop, implement and continually review a long-term national talent-development plan.
– Establish and lead the talent-development project management team and analyse the football landscape.
– Coordinate talent development across national teams, competitions, academies, coach education and grassroots programmes.
– Build staff and stakeholder capacity and serve as the main contact for the assigned FIFA TDS consultant.
– Map and align stakeholders, share learning across departments and associations, and report progress to senior leadership.
– Manage budgets and FIFA or other funding, support further fundraising, and ensure regulatory compliance.

REQUIREMENTS
– Broad knowledge of football and the national and regional talent-development ecosystem.
– A current high-level coaching qualification and relevant tertiary qualification.
– Experience in talent development and identification, youth national teams, academies, coach education and women’s football.
– Strong leadership, stakeholder credibility, advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work under pressure.
– At least three years’ project-management experience in relevant roles and at least three years’ management experience in a member association, regional association or club.
