Join a highly reputable FMCG and manufacturing business that forms part of a larger industry group. Based in Polokwane, the role offers stability, strong operational exposure and genuine scope for development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control raw material, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock.
  • Record and reconcile receipts, transfers, returns, invoicing and stock movements.
  • Investigate stock variances, wastage, losses and production-yield discrepancies.
  • Verify supplier invoices, GRVs and stock requisitions.
  • Conduct cycle counts and full monthly stocktakes.
  • Prepare stock valuations, variance reports and management analysis.
  • Maintain accurate ERP records and support audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with SARS VAT requirements and internal financial controls.
  • Work closely with production, procurement and finance teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ FMCG stock-control experience, ideally in food or meat processing.
  • Strong accounting, reconciliation and stock-valuation capability.
  • Sound understanding of VAT compliance, SARS invoice requirements and FMCG stock flow.
  • Strong ERP experience; Meat Matrix or Sage Evolution would be advantageous.
  • Completed financial articles would be beneficial.

Education

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or Supply Chain Management.

Soft Skills

Analytical, accurate and detail-focused, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Integrity, urgency and the ability to stay calm when the numbers do not behave are essential.

Salary 

The offer will be market related in line with your qualifications, skills, and experience. The role can offer up to R32,000 per month if you are a professionally qualified Accountant with the required experience and/or require minimal additional training or oversight.
