Key Responsibilities

The Sales Agent (Informal Market) is directly responsible for:

Identifying, qualifying, and recruiting community hub agent partners across their assigned territory.
Recruiting, onboarding, and activating independent uVend Device Operators (PoS and BYOD) using the float-and-commission model.
Running every substantive discovery conversation through the full IDEA consultative framework, ensuring prospects articulate their own pain before any solution is presented.
Maintaining operator float health and driving transaction volume growth across the active operator network.
Tracking device accountability for all Option 1 PoS operators and escalating hardware issues within 24 hours.
Logging all field activity in CRM on the day of activity — no exceptions.
Submitting daily EOD reports and weekly pipeline reports to the Payer Division Head.
Achieving NNA, TPD, AAPD, and NOPS targets as set each quarter by the Payer Division Head.
Surfacing field intelligence — competitive threats, operator needs, community trust signals, and requested billers from agent feedback — monthly.
Requesting structured CLEAR feedback from the Payer Division Head and implementing specific behaviour changes within three field engagements.

Required Qualifications
Direct sales or distribution experience in informal, community, or street-level environments
Experience recruiting or managing agents, vendors, or distribution partners in informal networks
Demonstrated ability to close commercial agreements independently with minimal supervision
Experience with mobile money platforms, digital wallets, or payment processing tools (EcoCash, InnBucks, or equivalent)

Must have skills
Proven track record in informal or community-based sales (verifiable references)
Good to have skills
Any formal qualification in business, commerce, marketing, or related field
