OSP Project Manager

LEVEL FIELD CONSULTING is currently recruiting for multiple full-time positions based in Lusaka, Zambia

Responsibilities or duties

Managing telecommunications or technology projects involving diverse stakeholders.

Managing large-scale network infrastructure projects and significant capital expenditure budgets.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Proven track record managing telecommunications or technology projects involving diverse stakeholders.

Skilled in developing fibre route plans, splice plans, network designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, or equivalent collaboration platforms.

Fluency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of French or local market languages is advantageous.

Experience needed

Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, preferably within telecom operators, ISPs, technology companies, or large enterprises.

Extensive experience in FTTX/FTTH network design, including GPON/XGS-PON, ODN, and passive outside-plant infrastructure.

Strong technical knowledge of GPON, XGS-PON, IP/MPLS, DWDM, SD-WAN, core networking, OSP, and ISP infrastructure.

Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, ITIL, or telecom-specific credentials are highly desirable.
