Occupational Health Nurse Jobs in Kalumbila – Barrick Lumwana Mining Corporation Barrick Lumwana Mining Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join its Lumwana Expansion Project Team based in Kalumbila, North West Province, Zambia.

About the Occupational Health Nurse Role in Kalumbila Reporting to the Medical Doctor - LEP, the Occupational Health Nurse will provide comprehensive healthcare services to employees, partners, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Perform timely registration of clients and accurate data entry into electronic health record systems.
Assist clients in completing documentation required for occupational health examinations. Demonstrate proficiency in using spirometry, audiometry, and vision testing equipment, with the ability to interpret abnormal results.
Ensure all occupational health screening results are uploaded, signed, dated, and properly filed in client medical records. Maintain comprehensive client files containing consent forms, pre-employment, periodic and exit screenings, laboratory results, fitness-to-work certificates, injury reports, and follow-up assessments.
Coordinate and conduct timely follow-up visits for client assessments. Conduct otoscopic examinations prior to audiometry testing upon receiving appropriate training.
Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures. Undertake any additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience Required for Occupational Health Nurse Jobs in Kalumbila Grade 12 certificate. Diploma in Registered Nursing.
Minimum of three years’ relevant nursing experience. Certification or training in occupational health nursing is an advantage.
Current paid membership with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ). Certification in audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences. Good understanding of mining industry legislation related to employment and safety in Zambia.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
