LECTURER: PUBLIC HEALTH & MENTAL HEALTH FOR SOCIAL WORK
POSITION SUMMARY (GENERAL)
The lecturers will be responsible for delivering academic and practical instruction in their respective modules within the Social Work Programme. The roles include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, assessing students, and ensuring learners acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies relevant to social work practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver lectures in public health and mental health modules
Integrate theory with social work practice
Develop and assess student learning outcomes
Promote psychosocial support and community health knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Mental Health, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or related field
Master’s degree strongly preferred
Teaching qualification is an added advantage
Experience in tertiary or adult education
NAQAA accreditation is an added advantage.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ALL POSITIONS)
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in adult or tertiary education
Strong classroom management skills
ICT and digital teaching skills are an advantage
