We are hiring an External Sales Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Maritime studies / Import / Export advantages
- Minimum of 6 years experience in shipping or similar environment
- At least 2 years experience in ships agency sales
- Valid drivers license
- Client visits
- New business development, identify and secure new clients
- Client retention by maintain existing relationships
- Filing and checking of SQs
- Freight applications: Apply for rates, routings, feeder space, waivers, etc.
- Provide customers with freight rate quotations
- Provide customer support, i.e. handling of shipment and service queries if required.
- Liaise with Principal on BIZ matters
- Share guidelines, notices, sailing schedules
- Database updates
- Work on tenders and freight contracts negotiations
