Electrician

A construction company based in Harare is urgently looking for a Class 1 Electrician who is
ready to start work immediately.

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICIAN

Job Description
• Install and wire electrical systems and components according to approved procedures.
• Perform electrical fault finding and repairs using appropriate test equipment.
• Carry out inspections and testing to confirm safety.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and circuits.
• Maintain and work on distribution boards, isolators, and protective devices (e.g., switches and circuit breakers) as assigned.

• Ensure proper earthing and correct, secure cable termination and workmanship quality.
• Follow safe working practices, including correct isolation and use of PPE.
• Use electrical drawings and wiring diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
• Maintain accurate records of work done, including test results and maintenance/service notes where required.
• Supervise or guide apprentices/other electricians during installations and maintenance, where applicable.

Requirements
• A diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Skilled Worker Class 1
• A clean class 4 driver’s license is a must
• A minimum of five years’ work experience
