Eliado Meat Supplies Limited invites applications from suitably qualified, reliable, and disciplined individuals to fill the position of Driver.
The successful candidate will report directly to Management and will support the Company’s transport, logistics, deliveries, collections, and day-to-day operational activities, while complying with Company policies, hygiene standards, and applicable Zambian road traffic and labour laws.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Drive Company vehicles in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner
Transport meat products, supplies, equipment, and documentation as assigned
Ensure timely deliveries and collections in line with operational requirements
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including oil, water, tyres, lights, brakes, and general condition
Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained
Promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, accidents, or safety concerns
Assist with loading, unloading, stock-taking, and general operational or butchery support duties when required
Safeguard Company property, goods, documentation, and vehicles entrusted to him
Maintain professional conduct, honesty, punctuality, and reliability at all times
Comply with Company procedures, hygiene standards, safety requirements, and lawful instructions from Management
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
Valid Zambian Driver’s Licence of the appropriate class
No history of serious traffic accidents or reckless driving
Police Clearance Certificate (mandatory)
Traceable references from previous employers (mandatory)
Physically fit and able to assist with operational duties when required
Of sober mind and good moral character
Honest, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Experience in a butchery, food retail, FMCG, distribution, or similar environment will be an added advantage
