Job Title : Assistant Accountant x 2 (Fixed Term)
Grade : C5
Station : Head Office

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensures that lint and seed cotton stocks reconciliations are correctly done
• Captures suppliers’ invoices and vouchers in the system and performs reconciliation.
• Cross-checks invoices in the system after checking with the Procurement and Stores sections.
• Prepares monthly creditors reconciliations – checking cash book and bank statement.
• Prepares general ledger account reconciliations for the control file.
• Captures cashbooks and general journals into Sage Evolution
• Monitors inter-company accounts between Head Office and Business Units and ensures that they are balanced every month.
• Prepares monthly tax returns for the Company, e.g., VAT and Withholding
Tax on Suppliers, and follows up on any ZIMRA queries regarding the taxes.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or any other related degree.
• A professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of working experience.
• Highly computer literate with capabilities in MS Office, ERPs and related
business and communication tools.
