Job Details

The United Basalt Products Ltd is seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Officer for its Engineering Department’s Supply Chain unit based at Geoffroy Road, Bambous.

Key Responsibilities

·        Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, including stock replenishment, reordering, and periodic stocktakes.

·        Ensure accurate recording and control of inventory transactions in accordance with established procedures.

·        Process purchase orders and maintain all supply chain documentation and records.

·        Support supplier selection, performance monitoring, and relationship management.

·        Coordinate and track deliveries, and assist in optimizing transportation and logistics activities.

·        Prepare and analyse reports on supply chain performance, costs, and operating expenses.

·        Assist in budget preparation and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

·        Provide timely and effective support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.

·        Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

·        Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements, including the use of PPE, good housekeeping, and prompt reporting of incidents or unsafe conditions.

Candidate Profile

·        Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline

·        Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or an equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

·        Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; experience in a similar role or environment is preferred.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of ERP systems would be an advantage.

·        Good understanding of inventory control, supplier management, logistics coordination, and cost analysis.

·        Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.

·        Able to work effectively in a team, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.

·        Sound problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
