As Supervisor, Warehouse, Yard, you will report directly to the Superintendent, Warehouse, and be responsible for overseeing all stockyard operations within the Commercial Department’s Warehouse, Process (S3) section. This full-time position focuses on supervising stockyard activities including binning, picking, issuing, stock counts, material handling, and equipment utilization with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities for Supervisor S3 Operations Jobs in Solwezi Supervise and coordinate all yard activities, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with company policies. Oversee picking, checking, and dispatching of end user orders accurately and on time.

Ensure completion of prestart checklists for all warehouse forklifts and trucks. Maintain proper storage practices to protect stock from weather damage.

Promote a safe and clean working environment within all areas of responsibility. Update system bin locations promptly for new stock codes in the yard.

Resolve stockyard queries and discrepancies efficiently to maintain inventory accuracy. Regularly review and evaluate the performance of yard personnel to foster continuous improvement.

Implement regular preservation of critical components across yard areas. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience Required Grade 12 School Certificate with verification by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA). CIPS Level 5 Certificate or higher.

Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or technical discipline is preferred. Membership in the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) is an advantage.

Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in supply chain management. Proven experience supervising warehouse operations and achieving operational targets.

Competence in forklift operation. Behavioral and Operational Competencies Strong teamwork and bold initiative to drive results.

Commitment to safety and quality standards. Technical proficiency and ability to maintain high productivity and attendance.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal communication skills.
