About the Role and Responsibilities The Superintendent, Reliability will lead the Reliability team within the Engineering Department to ensure optimal Process Plant Asset Reliability and support Operational Availability targets.

This role is critical in aligning maintenance strategies with asset condition and business performance, while overseeing effective condition monitoring programs. Provide technical and administrative support to maximize operational efficiency.

Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver results and enhance overall business performance. Lead, mentor, and develop the Reliability team, managing performance and succession planning.

Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for significant incidents. Analyze downtime data to inform and improve maintenance strategies.

Manage quality assurance and quality control processes across the process plant sections. Develop long-term asset lifecycle plans and ensure maintenance strategies align accordingly.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors. Build strong working relationships with Process and Engineering teams. Operational Excellence Understand copper production processes and implement maintenance plans to maximize output.

Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and implement audit-driven improvements. Review OEM maintenance recommendations and integrate condition-based monitoring results.

Enhance defect identification and rectification processes. Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic asset management.

Qualifications and Experience Essential:

• Engineering degree in a relevant field or extensive experience in planning and reliability management.
• Proven experience with fixed plant processing equipment in large-scale copper operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fixed plant maintenance, including at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams in mining environments.

Desirable:

• Formal Asset Management qualification.
• Additional experience in maintenance roles exceeding 5 years.
• Skills and Tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Power BI.
• Experience with Pronto and project management methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Appreciation for diverse cultures and customs, particularly in developing regions.
