Protecting natural resources from poaching and degradation

Role: General Employee
Department: HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Reports To: Conservation/Agricultural Officer II
Vacancies: 2 Positions

Qualifications & Requirements
 5 O Level passes including English and Mathematics
 Applicant must have 4 years’ experience in a similar environment
 Knowledge of local authority will be an added advantage.

 Results oriented and high degree of integrity.

Key Responsibilities
 Protecting natural resources from poaching and degradation
 Deploying patrol teams to check illegal activities e.g. gold panning, tree cutting, etc
 Issues out fines to offenders
 Leads the removal of squatters and vagrants
 Deterring and preventing the growth of squatters and vagrants
 Raising awareness in the community and effects of climate change, deforestation, urban agriculture and alternative methods of farming fuel `
 Taking minutes during sectional meetings
 Supervision of subordinates
