Section Manager

Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Section Manager to join their mining company based in the Free State. You will be responsible for managing mining operations to deliver safe, efficient and compliant production while driving operational performance, team leadership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage mining operations to achieve safe, efficient and sustainable production in line with operational objectives.
• Lead and coordinate mining teams, resources and operational activities to achieve production targets.
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, applicable legislation and operational standards.
• Monitor production performance, analyse operational data and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Plan and coordinate mining activities, schedules and resource allocation.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks to ensure safe and effective mining operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity, quality and cost performance.
• Manage operational and capital budgets while supporting cost control initiatives.
• Coordinate operational projects and ensure successful execution within approved timelines and budgets.
• Lead, coach and develop operational teams while promoting a strong safety and performance culture.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports and provide technical support to achieve business objectives.

• Grade 12
• Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
• Blasting Certificate for Scheduled/Underground Mines
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience within an underground mining environment
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Section Manager
• Proven experience managing underground mining operations and production teams.
• Valid Driver's License
