The Opportunity
Hobbiton Technologies is seeking Product Commercial Interns to support the Commercial Team in driving customer onboarding, market research, and pipeline development activities.
Based at our Head Office in Lusaka, this role is ideal for a motivated and curious graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in commercial operations and business development within a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You Will Do
Customer Onboarding & Activation
- Support onboarding of customers onto the platform
- Assist customers to successfully transact and ensure smooth activation
- Work closely with internal teams to improve user adoption and customer experience
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct research across key sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, and FMCG
- Identify potential business opportunities and target markets
- Compile insights to support commercial strategy and outreach
Pipeline Development & Sales Support
- Assist in building and maintaining a sales pipeline
- Support lead generation and follow-ups
- Contribute to business development initiatives and partner engagement
Learning & Development
- Gain practical exposure to commercial operations and customer engagement
- Work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects
- Build skills in market intelligence, sales processes, and fintech products.
Requirements
- Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
- Recent Graduate with a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude
- No prior work experience required.
