Job description
Medland Hospital is inviting applications for the position of Nutritionist / Dietician – Ref No. ND-100826.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition
• Current registration with HPCZ
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a hospital or related healthcare facility
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies and procedures
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate and assess patients’ nutritional status and screen patients for nutritional risk in accordance with established departmental protocols and standards.
• Plan and initiate medical nutrition therapy for patients when indicated by patient requirements and clinical protocols.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on nutritional issues, either individually or in groups.
