Purpose of the Job: To execute the timely preparation of the Bank’s financial statements and regulatory reports in strict adherence to IFRS and NBE requirements. The role manages the bank-wide budgeting process, monitors performance against financial targets, and provides detailed variance analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Generic Functions:

• Develop, review and implement policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division

• Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct, culture, & ascertain that subordinates abide by same

Specific Functions:

• Engage in the annual operation and capital budget preparation process, consolidating inputs from all Head Office organs and branches into a master budget

• Coordinate and execute the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow) in accordance with IFRS

• Compile, validate, and submit all periodic regulatory reports required by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) accurately and within the required deadlines

• Monitor budget utilization on a monthly basis, identifying significant variances, investigating root causes, and providing justifications and corrective recommendations to the Director

• Manage the Bank’s Fixed Asset Register (FAR), ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation calculations, and disposal recording, while overseeing the reconciliation of the FAR against the physical counts conducted by Property Administration
