Position Overview:

• Machine Operator in Lusaka As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of food processing and packaging equipment.
• Your role will ensure production targets are met while maintaining stringent food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols.
• You will work closely with supervisors, quality control, maintenance teams, and fellow operators to uphold the highest standards of production quality and machine performance.
• Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate food processing and packaging machinery with precision.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Monitor production output, assess product quality, and report any machine faults or defective products promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and machine performance.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure the production environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support continuous production improvements.
• Candidate Requirements Minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of practical experience as a Machine Operator, preferably within the food production or FMCG industry.
• Proven ability to operate industrial food processing or packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Capability to meet production targets while working effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Strong communication skills, discipline, teamwork orientation, and keen attention to detail.
