Background

We're looking for a service-oriented IT Support Analyst to join Africa GreenCo's Digital and Data team in Johannesburg. This role keeps our people productive across the business, providing first-line support, maintaining IT systems and assets, and helping build a smarter, better-documented digital workplace as GreenCo grows across its markets.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in:

  • Providing Tier 1 support for hardware, software and connectivity issues, and resolving requests within agreed SLAs
  • Managing user onboarding and offboarding, access rights and accurate records of permissions
  • Maintaining the IT asset register and tracking the lifecycle of IT equipment
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and basic workflow automation
  • Managing and updating the organisation's intranet content, usability and navigation
  • Creating clear IT documentation, SOPs and user guides, and supporting security awareness and compliance

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years in an IT support, helpdesk or systems administration role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems
  • A basic understanding of networking, hardware troubleshooting and user access management
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation
  • A detail-oriented, service-first approach with high levels of integrity and discretion

Additional Notes

Familiarity with IT service management principles and ITIL awareness would be viewed favourably.
