Instrumentation Engineer Jobs in Lusaka – Key Opportunity Department:

Engineering - Automation & Controls Reports to:

Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager Vacancies:

• 1 The Instrumentation Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control systems, and automation equipment.
• This position supports safe, efficient, and compliant production operations.
• Responsibilities Design, install, calibrate, and maintain sensors, transmitters, controllers, and other devices to monitor and control industrial processes.
• Configure DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems; prepare instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, functional analyses, and P&IDs.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues with industrial control systems.
• Perform calibration, maintenance, and record keeping of LT, PT, control valves, PID controllers, and weighing scales.
• Assist in technical vendor evaluations and material take-offs.
• Supervise installations and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and ISO guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using ERP/SAP systems.
• Provide supervision and technical training to technician staff to uphold workmanship quality.
• Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance or projects.
• Strong communication skills with proven team leadership ability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of human and equipment safety regulations.
• Expertise in flow meters, control valves, PT, LT, sensors, calibration, PID, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation or Diploma with relevant industrial instrumentation experience.
• Full Grade 12 certificate.

Additional Contract Positions Available in Lusaka R/O Operator Department:

Utilities / Engineering | Vacancies:

• 2 Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant, ensuring treated water meets company and food safety standards.
• Operate, maintain, and calculate efficiency of R/O systems and related equipment during shifts.
• Coordinate with user departments and maintain downtime records with root cause analysis (RCA).
• Plan and execute preventive and annual maintenance.
• Drive 5S and continuous improvement targets (Top5, Top15, Top60).

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years’ experience with fluidized bed boilers and water treatment plants; B.E.
• Mechanical/Diploma/Trade Certificate; Full Grade 12 certificate.

Utility In-Charge Department:

Engineering - Utilities | Vacancies:

• 1 Lead the utilities team ensuring safe, efficient operation of boilers, compressors, generators, water treatment, and steam distribution systems.
• Manage operations, maintenance, and efficiency calculations in shifts.
• Coordinate with departments, maintain downtime and RCA records, plan maintenance and inventory.
• Train staff and oversee 5S and operational excellence targets.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years’ experience with boilers and utility systems; strong leadership and communication skills; B.E Mechanical/Diploma; Full Grade 12 certificate.

Weighbridge Operator Department:

Stores / Logistics | Vacancies:

• 1 Operate the weighbridge to accurately weigh and document incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring data integrity and stock control.
• Perform vehicle weighing, issue tickets, and maintain records.
• Reconcile physical weights with system entries and invoices.
• Ensure security and compliance with company policies and OHS standards.
• Conduct equipment checks and report faults.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with 5 credits including Math and English; experience in weighbridge operations; computer literacy preferred.

Welder Department:

Engineering - Maintenance / Fabrication | Vacancies:

• 1 Fabricate, repair, and maintain metal structures and equipment, ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, and OHS standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs within shifts.
• Plan preventive maintenance and support safety and quality targets.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within food industry; trade certificate in welding and fabrication; knowledge of safety standards.

Mechanical Fitter Department:

Engineering - Maintenance | Vacancies:

• 4 Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment to maximise plant reliability and performance.
• Conduct shift repairs and upkeep standby equipment.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
• Support 5S and operational targets.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance in food industry; full Grade 12 certificate; strong safety knowledge.

Online Quality Control Officer Department:

Quality Assurance and Control | Vacancies:

• 2 Monitor and verify production parameters in real-time across the corn wet-milling plant, ensuring compliance with SOPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operational parameters and document readings.
• Verify production records and SOP compliance.
• Conduct sanitation and hygiene inspections.
• Complete checklists, coordinate sampling, and escalate deviations.
• Support food safety programs including FSSC 22000 and HACCP.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, or Microbiology preferred; 2-3 years’ QC experience in food or chemical production; certification in food safety an advantage.
