A leading business media organization in Zambia is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and strategic professional to join its Executive Team as Head of Commercial & Sales.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the commercial function, with responsibility for accelerating revenue growth, strengthening market presence, expanding strategic partnerships and leading a high-performing sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and execute the organization's commercial and sales strategy.
• Drive achievement of annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business and revenue opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships.
• Negotiate high-value commercial agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Grow advertising, sponsorship, subscription and partnership revenue.
• Prepare commercial forecasts, budgets and performance reports.
• Monitor market trends and identify emerging commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate across key functions to develop innovative commercial solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years' progressive commercial experience.
• At least three (3) years' experience leading a sales team.
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
• Experience in media, advertising, publishing, broadcasting or integrated marketing communications will be an added advantage.
