Emergency Response Field Paramedic Jobs in Kalumbila at Barrick Lumwana Mining Corporation Barrick Lumwana Mining Corporation is actively recruiting for the position of Emergency Response Para/Field Paramedic to join our dedicated Occupational Health and Safety team based in Kalumbila, North West Province, Zambia.

Position Overview:

Emergency Response Field Paramedic Jobs in Kalumbila Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Emergency Response, the Emergency Response Para/Field Paramedic will provide critical emergency services across the Lumwana Mining site, township, and surrounding community.

Responsibilities include firefighting, rope rescue, vehicle rescue, hazardous material response, ambulance services, and fire safety inspections. The role is vital in minimizing injuries, equipment damage, and production losses during incidents or accidents.

Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and effectively to all emergency situations on site. Perform scheduled weekly maintenance on emergency equipment and vehicles, ensuring readiness at all times.

Conduct routine tests on emergency response equipment in compliance with SOPs and manufacturer specifications. Prepare and submit weekly and quarterly reports detailing emergency preparedness and equipment status to the Emergency Response Supervisor.

Inspect, service, and maintain fixed fire systems, ensuring operational readiness and provide timely updates on their status. Adhere strictly to safe working practices and protocols.

Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 School Certificate. Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.

Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience. Membership with the Health Practitioner Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

Post-qualification experience in rescue and emergency services, preferably within the mining sector. Nationally accredited certifications such as Basic Firefighting and Basic Life Support are advantageous.
