Job description

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) invites applications from qualified Zambian nationals for three Driver positions based at its Head Office in Lusaka.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Two-year fixed-term contract, ERB Grade 8. Reports to the Head Driver.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out vehicle checks before shifts, including roadworthiness and compliance with traffic regulations.
• Transport ERB staff, visitors and materials to assigned destinations.
• Assist inspectors during inspections when requested.
• Deliver and collect materials.
• Report vehicle faults and accidents promptly under ERB transport procedures.
• Alert the Head Driver when the vehicle is due for service and perform minor repairs such as changing brake pads, oil, filters and bulbs.
• Maintain the daily trip logbook and keep the vehicle secure.
• Perform related duties assigned by supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• At least a SADC Driver’s Licence.
• At least three years of relevant work experience in a reputable organisation.
• Experience driving manual vehicles.
• Mechanics certificate is an advantage.
• ZAQA verification of academic and professional qualifications.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, English report writing, confidentiality, etiquette and computer literacy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
