Position Overview:

• Dental Therapist Jobs in Kitwe As a Dental Therapist at Medpoint Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
• Your expertise will support the clinic’s commitment to high-quality oral health services through thorough examinations, treatment, and patient education.
• Key Responsibilities Perform detailed intraoral examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Execute direct restorative procedures using composite resins and glass ionomer cements.
• Conduct scaling, root planing, and routine periodontal therapies.
• Manage simple dental extractions and provide emergency pain relief.
• Offer oral hygiene counselling, plaque control, and dietary advice to patients.
• Deliver paediatric dental care employing appropriate patient management techniques.
• Maintain strict sterilization, cross-infection control, and hygiene protocols.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, histories, and charts.
• Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinical workflows.
• Candidate Requirements Diploma or Degree in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution.
• Full registration and a valid practising licence with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Minimum of two years’ hands-on clinical experience in a dental setting.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a compassionate, patient-first approach.
• Proven ability to reduce patient anxiety and foster a comfortable treatment environment.
• Possession of a Grade 12 certificate.
