Communications Graduate Intern
National Office, Harare.
Purpose of the position
The Graduate Intern will play a key role in supporting social media and digital campaigns and assisting in the production of multimedia content. He/she will work across platforms, from client relationship management to analytics and reporting. Helping ensure our communications are consistent, data informed and aligned to our brand.
Major responsibilities
Creating digital content using basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
Assist in maintaining a structured digital asset library (photos, videos, graphics) per organization
standards and guidelines
Support the development and posting of content for social media platforms (Facebook, X, and Linkedin) and the World Vision Zimbabwe website to enhance audience engagement.
Assist in translating key reports and project achievements into simple infographics and engaging
visual content for digital platforms. Help maintain consistency in branding, messaging, and tone across communication materials and
social media channels.
Support photography and videography activities during events, field visits, and project activities,
ensuring quality visual content is available for communication purposes Maintain content calendars and trackers
Assist with event logistics (media briefings, internal events, launches, etc)
Provide general administrative support to the Communications team
Knowledge/qualifications for the role
Recent graduate with a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, in media, journalism. or any relevant degree
At least one-year work-related learning in a relevant field.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other editing software
Have excellent photography and videography skills
Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short and long-copy
experience with content development in the development space is an added advantage
Excellent verbal communications skills
Strong demonstrated experience with key social media tools (eg. X. Linkedin and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to communicate across diverse groups on social media and other digital platforms
Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to leam
A proactive, service-focused attitude towards tasks given even under pressure
The ability to work collaboratively with a team Be prepared to travel to the field frequently
