Claims Assessor

Location: Kariega (Uitenhage), Eastern Cape

Overview

A leading automotive dealership is seeking a skilled Claims Assessor to evaluate and process warranty and maintenance-related claims. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, dealership experience, and the ability to assess claims in accordance with manufacturer standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and validate warranty and maintenance claims submitted by service departments.
  • Review repair orders, technician reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure claims are processed in accordance with OEM warranty policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve rejected, disputed, or irregular claims.
  • Liaise with technicians, service advisors, manufacturers, and dealership management regarding claim-related matters.
  • Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on claim activities.
  • Assist with warranty audits and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Monitor claim trends and provide recommendations to improve claim success rates.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Qualified Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate, Diagnostic Technician Certificate, or Master Technician Qualification.
  • Previous automotive dealership experience is essential.
  • Sound technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and warranty processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical reports, service records, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Computer literate with experience using dealership management systems.
  • Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
