This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader to establish the branch, develop a robust loan portfolio, and strengthen the Dorset brand within the local business community. About the Branch Manager Role in Solwezi As Branch Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by securing and managing relationships with SMEs and business owners, including suppliers and contractors in the mining sector.

You will oversee all credit and security processes while ensuring portfolio quality and early arrears management. Leading and motivating your branch team will be essential to delivering Dorset Capital’s high standards of service and performance.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong business client relationships throughout Solwezi, focusing on mining sector suppliers and contractors. Build and grow a high-quality portfolio of secured business loans.

Manage credit assessments, conduct site visits, and supervise vehicle and property security checks. Proactively monitor arrears and maintain portfolio quality at a high standard.

Recruit, lead, and inspire the branch team to achieve operational and business goals. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.

Minimum of five years’ experience in SME or business lending, including at least two years in a leadership capacity. Strong expertise in assessing business cash flows and collateral valuation.

Demonstrated success in portfolio growth with a focus on maintaining low arrears. In-depth knowledge of the Solwezi business environment and community.
