Key Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function across multiple entities
- Capturing and posting bank transactions
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing journals including payroll and leave provisions
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Reviewing income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Managing daily trust accounting transactions and reconciliations
- Processing trust-to-business transfers and maintaining audit trails
- Assisting with annual statutory audits and trust audits
- VAT review and preparation for eFiling submissions
- Liaising with internal stakeholders regarding account and ledger queries
- Supporting company secretarial and banking administration functions
Requirements:- Minimum 3–5 years bookkeeping experience
- At least 2 years’ experience within a legal or professional services environment
- Hands-on trust accounting experience essential
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments
- Practical VAT experience
- Experience with accounting systems such as Xero or Sage
- Strong Excel skills including reconciliations, pivots, and lookups
- High attention to detail and strong reconciliation ability
Qualifications:- Relevant bookkeeping qualification essential
- Registration or eligibility for registration with a recognised professional body advantageous
- BCom or studies towards SAIPA / AGA(SA) / similar beneficial
