Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Trade Test Certificate as a Boilermaker (Red Seal).
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a boilershop or heavy engineering environment.
- At least 3–5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, and heavy plate work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and welding procedures.
- Sound knowledge of welding processes (MMA, MIG, TIG, FCAW, SAW) and relevant quality standards.
- Experience planning and coordinating workshop production schedules.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and non-destructive testing (NDT) requirements.
- Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) requirements and safe workshop practices.
- Experience managing teams, subcontractors, and workshop resources.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office); experience with ERP or maintenance management systems will be advantageous.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Advantageous Qualifications:- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Management.
- Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP, IIW, or equivalent).
- Supervisory or management training.
