Exciting Boilermaker and Welder Jobs in Chingola at Seener Constructions Limited Seener Constructions Limited is currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals for boilermaker and welder jobs in Chingola to support its expanding civil construction projects within the mining and industrial sectors.

These fixed-term contract positions are based in Chingola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia, and offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure development.

Boilermaker Position – Key Responsibilities and Requirements Position:

• Boilermaker (1 vacancy) Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures including pipelines, chutes, hoppers, tanks, and mining equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
• Perform metal cutting, welding, grinding, and shaping tasks.
• Conduct inspections and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Diagnose structural faults and implement corrective repairs efficiently.
• Ensure precise alignment and fitting of components during assembly.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), confined space regulations, and hot-work permits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of relevant experience within mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Proficiency in welding, cutting, and metal fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Valid Silicosis Certificate.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is required.

Welder Position – Responsibilities and Qualifications Position:

• Welder (1 vacancy) Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair work on mining and construction machinery.
• Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications with precision.
• Utilize appropriate welding processes such as MIG/MAG, ARC, and/or TIG techniques effectively.
• Carry out grinding, gouging, and metal surface preparation tasks.
• Inspect completed welds and perform necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain welding equipment including machines, cables, and gas apparatus to ensure operational readiness.
• Follow approved welding procedures and maintain high safety standards at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Welding, Metal Fabrication, or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in mining, construction, or heavy industrial settings.
• Proficiency in relevant welding techniques including MIG/MAG, ARC, and/or TIG.
• Strong skills in welding, cutting, grinding, gouging, and metal preparation.
• Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Valid Silicosis Certificate.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is mandatory.
