Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following post that has arisen in the University:
DEPARTMENT: TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
FIXED TERM AUTO ELECTRICIAN
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least a National Certificate in Motor Vehicle Electrical
Engineering or equivalent, 5 ordinary Level passes including English, Mathematics and Science, Journeyman Class One in Auto Electrical Engineering, a valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence. Applicants must have 3 years relevant work experience in auto electrical repairs and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults on University vehicles.
Install, service and maintain vehicle electrical systems and accessories.
Repair starters, alternators, batteries, lighting systems and related components.
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults.
Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
Observe workshop safety standards.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Transport Manager.
