DEPARTMENT: TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
FIXED TERM AUTO ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least a National Certificate in Motor Vehicle Electrical
Engineering or equivalent, 5 ordinary Level passes including English, Mathematics and Science, Journeyman Class One in Auto Electrical Engineering, a valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence. Applicants must have 3 years relevant work experience in auto electrical repairs and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults on University vehicles.
 Install, service and maintain vehicle electrical systems and accessories.
 Repair starters, alternators, batteries, lighting systems and related components.
 Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults.
 Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
 Observe workshop safety standards.
 Perform any other duties assigned by the Transport Manager.

Conditions of Service
