DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Assistant Lecturer (3 Posts)

​Duties and Responsibilities
​The candidate must be capable of teaching and supervising undergraduate ​students’ research work, carry out research and should be able to teach the ​following modules:

• Prototyping Laboratory.
• Cryptography and Security.
• Secure Coding.
• Mobile Forensics.
• Secure Software Studies.
• System Administration and Security.

Desired Qualifications

• Must have a BSc in CyberSecurity, Computer System Engineering, Information Security, Computer Science, TelecommunicationEngineering or equivalent with at least a 2.1 pass.
• The candidate should not have more than two (2) years after completing the degree.
• The candidate is expected to register for Masters degree.

​​Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior ​​Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 ​​​main ​categories which are:

I. Teaching
The incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and/or Faculty guidelines and standards.​

II. University Service and Community Engagement
​The incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences, committees and seminars, among others.

III. Research
​The incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.

IV. Innovations
The incumbent is expected to engage in innovations which should lead to production of goods and services.

V. Industrialisation
The incumbent is expected to be industrial through commercialisation of goods and services.
