Position Overview:

• Accounts Officer Jobs in Lusaka As an Accounts Officer within the Finance Department, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records and supporting month-end and year-end reporting.

• Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations and financial schedules.
• Process accounting transactions ensuring accurate posting to appropriate accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions regularly.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory returns.
• Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Maintain data integrity through consistent reconciliations and system checks.
• Assist during audit processes and resolve any audit queries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the timely settlement of statutory obligations and other financial payments.
• Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia, or equivalent, with at least Part I completed.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting environment.
