The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for assisting with a variety of accounting tasks, including processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports and providing for other accounting activities.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry & Record Keeping;
    • Accurately and efficiently enter financial transactions such as loan invoices, receipts, expenses etc.; client information, and other financial data into the company system.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Prepare invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
    • Load, process, and track payments on Company System
  • General Accounting Support
    • Assist in the Audit trail
    • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as assigned.
    • File and maintain accounting documents.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or better in Accountancy or Finance or the equivalent
  • Must be a registered member of the relevant professional body
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Competency in MS Office, excel, databases and accounting software.
  • Minimum of 1-year proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounting Clerk.
  • Accuracy and Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skill and an aptitude for numbers.
